I've never wavered from the professional path that I chose at 10 years old, when I declared that I would be a fashion designer. With each new year, I deepen and refine my abilities in the industry. As an avid water woman with a gypsy spirit, I call many places home: from Costa Rica to California, and of course, Texas. I returned stateside after a year in Central America with a passion for beautifully fitting swimwear. Couple this design passion with a great respect and love for the environment, and so began my design career.
Right out of FIDM, I founded a sustainable swimwear label, CurleeBikini. I ran CB for 6 years, working alongside various retail management + marketing positions within the fashion industry. During this time, I self-taught into bespoke, technical design, I deepened my innate entrepreneurial spirit, and developed great acumen in the business of fashion.
In 2015, I joined Trunkist as the Director of Fashion Design. In this role, I led an experienced design team through every phase of apparel product development and production for a wide range of high profile clients. Here, I radically branched out from swimwear design and development into activewear, women’s ready-to-wear, menswear, childrenswear, and even soft goods.
After working with emerging brands in the fashion industry for over a decade, my day job has shifted to supporting the organic food innovator that is Whole Foods Market! Similar to the apparel product development work I've done for so many years, I am currently expanding my portfolio into technology product development. All the while, I continue to create as a Contract Apparel Designer + Fashion Consultant.
My specialty remains in supporting emerging brands from conception thru launch: developing innovative apparel designs, perfecting technical fit, and producing small-batch, Made in USA collections with a conscious footprint. I'd love to support you and your brand in all things fashion. Let's talk!
